MUSINK to Leave Its Mark on Costa Mesa This Weekend
Written by Brittany Woolsey

Instead of the sounds of carnival rides, this weekend, the Orange County Fairgrounds will host the sounds of punk rock and the buzzing of needle guns at the sixth annual Musink Tattoo and Music Festival.

While the festival has had bands like Against Me!, The Used and New Found Glory in the past, this year's three-day event will feature some of the most legendary punk rock and rockabilly bands.

Guttermouth, The Vandals and Bad Religion will kick off the event on Friday, while TSOL, Lagwagon and Pennywise will take the stage on Saturday. The festival will close with the thumping sounds of Jonny Two Bags, The Headcat, Lucero and Reverend Horton Heat on Sunday.

More than 300 tattoo artists will also be there, and guests will have the opportunity to get some ink done. Featured artists include Jack Rudy, Robert Atkinson, Small Pall, Tomas Garcia and more.

A variety of tattoo methods will be done, including modern electric needles and the Japanese manual style with a needle, ink and hammer.

Attendees will also be able to indulge in foods from classic carnival treats to food trucks, and, of course, beer.

Tickets for the event can be purchased online or at the door. General admission tickets are $25 for  a single day, or $50 for a 3-day pass. VIP tickets, while include in and out privileges, backstage access, and discounted food and mixed drinks, are also available for $75 for a single day or $150 for three days.

till then, enjoy some pictures from Musink over the last couple of years:
