Lilith Fair Is Back And Coming to Irvine

The Lilith Fair now in its third year will be visiting Orange County, California this July. The fair originally started after Sarah McLachlan became frustrated with concert promoters and radio stations refusing to feature two female musicians in a row. Now, “Lilith Fair”, does exactly that by giving fans a female only (lead singer) tour of their own.

While this is the tour’s fourth year, it’s the first in some 11 years. In the past the tour has featured such artists as Sheryl Crow, The Dixie Chicks, Queen Latifah, Sarah McLachlan of course, Monica, Liz Phair, The Pretenders, Dido, Lisa Loeb, Sinéad O'Connor and many many more including local talent in most if not all of the cities the tour has visited.

On July 10th, 2010 they will return to the Irvine’s Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, for the second time since the tour has started. This year’s lineup will include Sherryl Crow, Colbie Caillat, Sarah McLachlan, Miranda Lambert, Kelly Clarkson, Mary J. Blige, Tegan and Sara, The Go-Go's, The Bangles and many more. (Note: the website mistakenly labels the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre as being in Los Angeles)
