The living legends, famous for such songs as “Hotel California”, “New Kid In Town” and “Life In the Fast Lane” among others has, since they formed in 1971, had had two of their albums ranked among the top 20 best-selling albums in the U.S according to the RIAA. Back in 1980 eerybody thought the band was gone for good, the band broke up and its members went for solo careers. Joe Walsh had a successful album in 1981 titled “There goes the neighborhood” Don Henley achieved the greatest commercial solo success of any former Eagle. In 1982, he released I Can't Stand Still, featuring the hit "Dirty Laundry." Glenn Frey also found solo success in the 1980s. In 1982, he released his first album, No Fun Aloud, which spawned the #15 hit, "The One You Love". He followed this album with 1984's The Allnighter, which featured the #20 hit "Sexy Girl." He reached #2 on the charts with "The Heat Is On" from the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack. Timothy B. Schmit had a hit song on the "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" soundtrack with "So Much in Love". And in 1981, Randy Meisner a hit single "Hearts on Fire". However, even with some success solo, the band eventually reunited 1993 and has since put out many albums and been very active as a group.
