So now that all the dust has settled and more facts are out we are very happy to talk with you about Epicenter 2010, and about our pre coverage of the event. Epicenter 2010, the second annual event of its kind and arguably the best concert festival of the year lineup-wise will be headed to the world famous Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California September 25th and 26th. Tickets went on sale yesterday with presale being available a few days earlier via KROQ and Eminem fans.
The event will feature a “Camping Package” for those that wish to rent RV Space at the venue for $1000, which also includes price of admission or 4 people, 4 concert t-shirts, 4 camping wristbands, and access to the camper all day (your own private bar??). For those not wanting to spend the grand for the RV/Camping Package can purchase tickets at $80 per day or $150 for both days (+ fees). Last Year’s event featured Tool, Linkin Park w/ Dead By Sunrise, Alice In Chains and Hollywood Undead among others, in what went down as a historic event (and a historic mosh pit!) and what many believed would be the one and only Epicenter Music Festival. That is, till recently. Last Monday KROQ announced the official lineup on the air which will feature Kiss, Eminem, Bush, Papa Roach, B.o.B, Travis Barker, The Knux and New Politics on Day1 of the event. Sunday will feature Blink-182, Rise Against, 30 Seconds to Mars, Bad Religion, A Day to Remember, Suicidal Tendencies and The Black Pacific. The lineup is special in the fact that not only are most of the performers headliners themselves, but that there are special events in themselves. Eminem for one hasn’t had a California concert since 2005, Blink 182 just recently re-united, and this will be KISS and Rise Against’s only 2010 California appearance. And, no, I didn’t forget, this will also be the first reunion show by Bush, who hasn’t performed as a band since 2001. Right Arm Entertainment (creators of Ohio’s successful Rock on the Range annual festival)., the company behind the historic event is no new comer as a concert producer, having over 100 concerts under their belt nationwide (and in Canada!) and have included Linkin Park, Stone Temple Pilots, Papa Roach, Hollywood Undead and Weezer just to name a few in those events. Stay tuned for more information about Epicenter 2010 including updates and band information. |
